![]() ![]() I actually play 3 Sage and Mausoleum in my Buster Blader deck lol. DLink being strong means not only you will be having a good matchup more often but also that the the DLink part of Buster Blader DLink variant is stronger as well. DLink is just standard DLink but uses Whelp as its Normal Summon instead of the usual(Black Metal/DMaid/Seyfert). Stun goes Hard REF for Dragoon and sets the Trap. I haven't play Crusadia variant so I'll focus on the other 2. There's 3 builds of BB (Stun, DLink, and Crusadia). Not only do they lose a boss monster, but Verte is a consistency piece in DM as it foolishes DM. Also, a Verte/Dragoon ban will hit the Deck really hard. New Timaeus helps with that but it's really hard to actually declare Timaeus effect Turn 1(you don't actually care if it resolves, you just need to bait Imperm/Veiler) without taking a further consistency hit of adding more DM/DM searchers. The optimal build of DMs has a bit of consistency issue as well as dying to Imperm/Veiler on Verte(you can already play thru Ash decently and Nibiru is irrelevant as Dragoon is 4th/5th summon). I'd say BB>DM though(especially true whenever DLink is top tier), They are very fun to play even against meta as even though they can't win consistently, they can and will take off games off them and you don't get stomped(unlike say Gaia or Summoned Skull). They're both just around 1 step away from rogue status. Warrior Lady and other will also be played alongside Reinforcement of the Army (RotA) from time to time.ĭNA Surgery is sometimes used to turn every monster in play into a dragon, improving Buster Blader's attack in the process. For example, Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer is a high attack beater that players will often use to deter chaos monster summons, and The Trojan Horse acts as two tributes for Buster Blader. The rest of the monster suite can vary greatly from deck to deck, though some are more popular than others. Emblam of Dragon Slayer adds to these counters, and also searches out Blader for potential tribute summons. Skilled White Magician is the most prominent of these cards, special summoning Blader from the hand, deck, or graveyard once it gets three spell counters on it. ![]() Buster Blader decks focus on the dragon slayer himself as a boss monster, plus his support cards. ![]()
